Thanksgiving!!!!

I know I know!!! Thanksgiving??? Wasn't that ages ago? Yes it was. But as I am sure you guys have all been swept up in the busyness we call the holiday season, so have I, but I am here now to end the slacking and try to get up to date, because there will be a lot coming in the next few weeks!

SO! Back during the week of Thanksgiving, we had our great friends, and former neighbors, the Owens from Boston come down for a week. We were super excited to have them on our turf and here are some of the highlights!!

Davina and Noah arrived first, and though Christie had to work, she made sure to make our friends feel welcome!

Many people say that their kids are "friends" but it is usually that the parents are friends. Not so here. I have never seen two kids so young actually really enjoy seeing each other like Noah and Elijah do!

" I know it was a long trip Noah, have some leaves!"

To kick off the week long festivities, it was time to jam out a song with the new kiddie supergroup!!

Noah channeling his inner Diamond Dave, and Caeley in full Richie Sambora mode....

The next morning: breakfast of champions! Chocolate chip pancakes!

I think it is clear, men who wear hats like this aren't playing around!

Caeley doing a very convincing impression of sight reading....

After a long day, I read the crew a bed time story.

"Mom, I think...it's.... a...a....BRAIN!!!" Actually Noah, it's called a hedge apple! Don't ask us what it really is about, we don't know either!

We also took the Owens clan to the zoo. ( We know we've shown you enough pics of the zoo, so this is the only one we'll do today!)

What do you do with 3 kids during a rainy day when your resident wife has to sleep off an overnight shift? Why, you go to Chuck E Cheese of course!!! And, wouldn't ya know it, but ol' Chuck was there in person!

RADNOR LAKE

As you have seen from some of our latest blogs, we have found a very pretty place near our house called Radnor Lake. Now that Mike had arrived, we decided to show them our pretty nature place!

The crew arrives

What a paparazzi pic would look like if The Owens family was famous

"I ain't movin'!" "Well, I ain't movin'!"

Out on a limb with my darlin'

Lovin' my boy!

Time for a nap....

THE WILDHORSE SALOON

You can not come down to Nashville to visit us and not be taken to The Wildhorse Saloon. This place rocks! So we took our friends out to show them downtown!

TIME TO LINE DANCE!!!!

Mike was proud of himself so he decided to pat himself on the...um... well you get the idea....

All together now!

Christie never gets tired of line dancing!

NOAH!!! GO THE OTHER WAY!!!!

The Owens ring in the Christmas season!

"Momma, thanks for taking me to the honkey tonk! I love it!"

Still got it after 5 years, 3 states, 2 kids and 1 MD later!

Turning into a barnburner!

"Listen here partner! You better watch yourself, ya hear?"

What a wild night!! After the hijinks were over, we took Noah back to the house so Mike and Davina could go out on the town. They had a blast!

Dinner's on the table!! Time to eat!!!

What could be a better way to finish the Owens time in Nashville than by stalking country music stars?? We went to Kenny Chesney's, Dolly Parton's and of course this house: Faith Hill's and Tim McGraw's. (Someone walking their dog on the road said that they don't live there anymore, yeah riiiiiiight! Sure they don't!)

As you can see it was an AMAZING WEEK! Thanks to Mike, Davina, and Noah for sharing our first Thanksgiving in Nashville!
