One very cool thing about being in the south is that they have vacation bible school. This is a week long FREE camp, where the kids do an amazing amount of crafts and music and most importantly, learn more about God and the Bible. They make it as fun and appealing while teaching them. Caeley just finished her second VBS of the summer. The theme of the VBS was "Boomerang Express", a kind of "we're going on a journey and exploring" for God if you will. I can't tell you how much Cales LOVES these camps! Throughout the week, the kids learn different songs and different lessons. And at the end of the week, it is time to get together and have them lead worship for the night. Caeley sang three songs and she did so well! I have taken a lot of cute video of Caeley in the past, but these are some of the best! There is A LOT of video in this post, but it all is really good, so do it in a couple of sittings if you must, but do watch, you won't be sorry!
Check Caeley half way through this one going out of her way to touch the girl's hair in front of her, and the reaction the girl gives back!
AND WHAT ABOUT ELIJAH??? If you had any worries that Boo Boo wasn't having fun, this should ease your mind!
Now I know some of my friends who are reading this might find it a little crazy that there would be all these kids doing these synchronized moves in the church to these hokey songs. It might even seem a little cult like. I understand where your coming from on that. I used to feel that way too when I would see things like this on TV. But as I watched my kids so happy, dancing and singing about God, I've had a change of heart. Caeley got up every morning excited to go, she had a blast every day and she learned so much. If this is what the church needs to do to help reach out to the little kids, then so be it. All I know is that I wished I could have gone to this rather than CCD when I was a kid!!!

Nathanael & Madeline loved VBS also! It was great because they got to attend because I was working.
