A few weekends ago, the kids and I went to the local Molasses Festival in Nashville. There was plenty of fun to be had! Check it out!

The festival was really fun and had a lot of music and festivities. There are some really fun moments in this video such as Caeley driving a horse drawn wagon, country dancing, giant inflatable pumpkins and many different kinds of live music, enjoy!!
WHAT AN AMAZING COUPLE OF DAYS!!! Christie and I are big fans of this amazing christian band called Casting Crowns. They were playing the local arena and the local christian radio station
was having a contest. You had to post a comment on their Facebook page and they were going to pick ten people and give them 2 tickets for the show Friday night. So, I of course, try this since Christie has a rare night off that night. It gets to Friday morning and I do not hear anything so I assumed we didn't get it. Later on that afternoon, we were all going to lie down for a nap, and I see that I have a friend request on Facebook. I have never heard of this guy, and so I go and take a nap with my extremely tired family. When I wake up, I play with Elijah for awhile, and then I check my Facebook. I decide to see who this guy is. When I look closer, I see this guy wrote me a message. "CONGRATULATIONS!! YOU HAVE WON ONE OF THE PAIR OF TICKETS FOR CASTING CROWNS!" It is now 4:30 and the show is at 7! So we call a bunch of people we usually can call about watching the kids, but to no avail. We then call new friends of ours, a family of a child that goes to school with Caeley, but in no way close enough to us that we should be able to ask them for this favor. But we ask anyway! And they say yes. :) So we brought Caeley and Elijah over in their PJs and Christie and I left to see an amazing, amazing show!!! (Note to our Boston peeps, we parked right next to the arena for FIVE dollars!) It was the first real date we have had since we have been down here, and we really really enjoyed ourselves! So after a great night, we picked the kids up and went home and everyone had a great night's sleep. We got up today to go pumpkin picking at this place called Gentry's Farm out in Franklin. We never had been there, but boy did we find a winner!!! Pumpkin picking, hay rides, farm animals, corn mazes, slides, tire swings, bean bag toss, the list goes on and on!
